We're running it back! We didn't get to finish this route last year, which was a real bummer, so we're doing it again and aiming to finish this time.
Once a year, when the hops are harvested, a bunch of breweries near the Yakima valley get their hands on them before they're dried and make some of the best beers you'll have. It lasts from harvest time (mid-August) until they all sell out (mid-October).
Same route as last year, with one notable omission (RIP Savage Brewing's taproom). The full route is 16-17 miles (depending on wrong turns), almost entirely on bike paths. We discovered last year that the whole cross-Kirkland corridor is packed dirt/gravel, so be careful on your road bikes.
We'll make 5 stops:
Bellevue Brewing Company
Chainline Brewing Company
Maelstrom Brewing Company
Black Raven Brewing
Postdoc Brewing
Please don't drink and drive. There's lots of public transit available to get to the start and end of the route (they're both on the 2 line!). Those of us with a DD will park and meet at the Marymoor Village station and take the light rail to the start at the Spring District station.
We'll start the festivities at 12 noon at Bellevue Brewing Company. If you're taking the light rail from Redmond, meet at the Marymoor Village station at 11:30.
No! Come on out for the bike ride and have some water/kombucha/other hydration!
Our 4th and 5th stops are both very close to some other great local breweries. Feel free to add a side quest to Big Block Brewing and/or Mac & Jack's if your liver would like the extra challenge!
